NJOMBE REGIONAL GOVERNMENT AUTHORITY HAS RECOGNIZED YPHE PROGRAM TO BE ONE OF THE ACADEMIC AREAS WHOSE IMPLEMENTERS DESERVE RECOGNITION AND SUPPORT

 

During the last week of April, Tanzania conducted events to celebrate Education Week, In Njombe Region, the Regional Commissioner’s office prepared a special event on 28th April 2015 at the Turbo Grounds in Njombe Town.

The regional event brought together officials from all Njombe districts (Makete, Ludewa, Njombe, Makambako and Wanging'ombe). The guest of honour was Dr. Rehema Nchimbi, the Regional Commisioner who was there to launch the Njombe Region Academic Awards.

Different education stakeholders were invited including Highlands Hope Umbrella (HHU). Government officials spoke about Sarafina's trip to Canada as an ambassador for all Njombe youth. She was handed a passport and printed air ticket by the guest of honour.

HHU was asked us to bring our staff members so that they could be included among award recipients; regional officials called us " THE BEST YPHE PROGRAM IMPLEMENTER IN SCHOOLS". There were 10 awards given, including the special award to Sarafina as youth ambassador from Njombe, as a way to encourage all stakeholders in YPHE program to keep on with their efforts.
